2026 Winter Olympics in Milan–Cortinas 
 
Deedra Irwin is an elite American biathlete and U.S. Army Staff Sergeant (SSG) qualified for her second consecutive Olympic Games, set to compete at the  2026 Winter Olympics in Milan–Cortina  Known for achieving the best-ever individual Olympic finish for a US biathlete (7th in 2022), the Wisconsin native and former runner pivoted to the sport after a 2017 talent ID camp.
 
 
Deedra Irwin of United States in the women's biathlon 15km individual competition Feb. 11, 2026, during the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games at Anterselva Biathlon Arena. She finished 34th out of 90 participants.

Honor Flight

 

Our hearts are full as we send out a BIG congrats to David Latimer Sr. (Veteran) and Greg White (Veteran/Guardian) who were honored on the November 4th Stars and Stripes Honor Flight out of Milwaukee. (2023)

 

This Years Honor Flight Vets Welcome, Open To The Public at General Mitchel International Airport

Say Hooray to the Vets returning from the Honor Flight.  June 20th 2026, at Mitchell International. Get there no later than 7 pm. This is if you want to see parade of people coming . You can bring a folding chair, no coolers, no alcohol, service pets only. One you get there, there are volunteers that will help you get situated. Look for the people wearing yellow.

The Honor Flight Network is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that transports American veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit memorials dedicated to their service at no cost to them. The call sign for the Wisconsin Branch is

The Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.

 

 

This is the first time Eight Women were on the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight at the same time. Four ot these brave soldiers are nurses.

There's 6 Honor Flight a year. All the flight follow the same format. There are a flight in June, September then October, November.

Our calender has a start time of 7 pm but people start coming as early as 5:30 to get an ealy position.

Monogram Club Chicken Dinners

Post 495 Member Dick Trawicki will be handing out tickets

The Monogram Club gives free Chicken Dinners to Veterans and their families. Supporters make donations to pay for the dinners and the dinners are given away at Post 416 in Glendale. The leftover money goes to scholarships for student athletes at West Allis Central and West Allis Hale. The dinners help with scholarships for the athletes and their families. They gave out 1700 chicken dinners in 2025. The fundraiser is a win, win,  for veterans and a win for the West Allis Athletes.
